Wild ARMs 4 Journal, Day 2:

  • I picked up, as logic suggested, where I left off.

  • I noticed the movement in many non-town areas in the game feel like Klonoa. You know--the "guided 3D." Things are 3D, but the paths are very guided. This was pretty much expected.

  • MOVIE CLIP TIME! Jude can jump in this game, and players can expect to use it for more than just hopping around out of boredom. Here's a short clip of a series of jumps I encountered. This isn't the most complex series in the world, since it's still early, but it demonstrates the idea well. It's spoiler-free, so click without fear. Jump around!

  • I made it to the first real town, being greeted by this lady. I also met the fourth party member there, and I already love her. Check out the new screenshots for a look at the first scene she's involved with. If I were you, though, I'd hold off on those, because seeing it in-game is way cooler for this scene.

  • MOVIE CLIP TIME! What's that you say? You want me to show you a 4-minute video of Port Rosalinda? Well, I guess I could do that. Clicking this will show you me exploring the new town I came to today. There are no story spoilers.

  • After checking out the scene in town and getting Raquel, it was off to a dungeon. Of course, being the first full dungeon in the game, it functioned mostly as a tutorial and was therefore very easy. I'm hoping for the same experience that I described in my Alter Code: F review, where they start out easy to teach you how to use the tools and skills, but get more and more complex. I've always loved that about Wild ARMs games.

  • The rest of this update will be in media form.

  • MOVIES! Jude has something to learn about Filgaia. And, as a follow up, Here's that manga-style story in action. No spoilers.
