I think everyone here already knows, but www.rpgland.net's very existance and crappiness is threatening to my feeling of saftey here at the land. _________________ H-E-S-T-E-R is a long, convoluted joke. |

I've seen better artwork drawn by 11 year olds.
So... why does their forum look better than ours?
Thanks for the link anyways. Been awhile since I've seen anything done with RPGmaker. |

Yeah, when they first popped up, I grilled them a bit. For a while they had a link to us.
It was funny though. He was like oh man I didn't even know you guys were around... uh yeah sure... You would have definately seen it when checking the domain for availibility.

So should everyone use a template already designed? We could do that I guess... _________________

Relax Tim. I'm hazing you.
Although I do need to refresh myself on how to change things so that links are notably different from surrounding text. I know where to do it (it's in your color scheme) but not specifically enough to tell you. T_T |

I'm relaxed. I was just replying to it cause I wouldn't mind making some minor changes that would benefit things but I'm not sure what the major issues are. I do agree, however, that the forums could use some improving (on more than one level). The color schemes would have to stay within the site's scheme. I imagine if we don't use white for the links we'd use yellow. _________________

yellow, or gold. Either would work wonderfully.
The color scheme itself is fairly decent. |

Tim, don't take this the wrong way, but your site looks like it was designed by a thirteen year old with ADD and on smack. Blue is the worst colour of all time to make your website, and chibi Cloud definately doesn't help matters.
Just sayin. _________________

The chibi cloud is there for special reasons. Tim's old friend 526 who has some fan art on this site, helped design the old template of rpgland when it was starting out. check the credits. It's more of a continuing phase that we felt should live on. Then when one of Tim's other friend's design the new template it had this blue design that we felt looked good and since that was the case the boards had to follow suit otherwise it wouldn't match properly. Is that just about it Tim? |

Legally, I think you could force them to stop using the RPG Land name if you really wanted to. |
