Looks like a younger Tidus, except without the silly too-small hoodie and exposed abs. |

I really still want to murder Tetsuya Nomura, but I'm pretty sure he is responsible for giving us the nigra with the chocochick living in his afro, so I think I need to cut him a bit of slack on this one.
I haven't been this certain I was going to hate a Final Fantasy game since 10. _________________

When did men stop looking like men in Japan? I blame their lack of mustaches. All Japanese men over the age of 16 should be forced to wear a Nobunaga~esque beard. _________________ "True to the bullet pith on the enclose, Rocksmith allows you to beat the drum for legitimate hither any electric guitar into the proprietary USB chain that comes with the encounter..." - NEERGENCE, 12/02/2011 |

By the way, I was going to mention this earlier when I saw the scans but forgot:
If anyone played/watched the demo that came out a while back, there's a point where Snow is recruiting people from...a crashed train or something?..to fight in a resistance movement while everybody else escapes. A bunch of people are humming and hawing and whining and this woman jumps up and says something like "Yeah, me, I'll do it, give me one of them giant guns," and a hooded kid is floored by this. Shocked. He's like "Mom, nooooo, don't leaaaaave me!" and whining. And she says "Don't worry, mothers are strong!"
Mother exits stage left. Presumeably we'll never see her again. That was this kid's mom. |

So there's nothing said about whether or not the new girl will be playable or not and if she'll continue the 3-girl only rule. I'd been under the impression she would be an NPC. We still have the "cool character" to see as well. I'd take back all the bad things I've said about Square and their androgyny-fixation if it's not some new Sephiroth wannabe. |

Maybe they saved the Sephiroth wannabe to be the main character of Versus XIII? _________________ If you buy stuff from Play Asia, help support RPG Land. Thank you. |

I don't know which thread is going to be more brutal, this thread or the Fable 3 thread. |

The Fable III thread... Even tho this game looks bad, Final Fantasy still has its roots. Fable doesn't have a leg to stand on. _________________

Final Fantasy have been sucking longer than Fable has though. Even if you don't like both Fables there are still about 3x as many FF games that suck.
In fact everything after 9 has been horrible.
X - sucked
X-2 -(the fuck?!) sucked
XI - sucks
XII - single player MMO? Yeah, no. Sucked
Crystal Chronicals - sucked
Tactics Advanced - sucked
TA2 - sucked
Dirge of Cerberus - sucked
The Spirits Within - (a movie I know but still) sucked
Final Fantasy 4: The After - never played it, but unless Edge is still as cool as fuck, it sucked
Really the only things they have done well is rerelease their old good games. Its like they peeked in 1999 and have just been riding that rocket for the last 10 years. _________________ "True to the bullet pith on the enclose, Rocksmith allows you to beat the drum for legitimate hither any electric guitar into the proprietary USB chain that comes with the encounter..." - NEERGENCE, 12/02/2011

Double post but why waste it?...
Square in general and more FF:
The other Crystal Cronical - sucked
Infinate Undiscovery - sucked and stupid name
Last Remnant - sucked, but I liked it
Mystic Quests - sucked _________________ "True to the bullet pith on the enclose, Rocksmith allows you to beat the drum for legitimate hither any electric guitar into the proprietary USB chain that comes with the encounter..." - NEERGENCE, 12/02/2011 |

Ok, so percentage of Final Fantasy games that have sucked, all-time? 50%(?)
Percentage of Fable games that have sucked? 100%... _________________

Then we can do this chronologically.
Fable was released in 2004.
Since then we have had 2 Fable games both of which you think suck.
Now how many of these would you say suck:
Dirge of Cerberus
FF XII
FF XII International Zodiac Job System (I actually heard this was pretty good. But I digress)
Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobos Dungeon
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as King
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time
Final Fantasy 4: The After Years
Final Fantasy 4: Advance
Final Fantasy 3: DS
Final Fantasy 6: Advance
Final Fantasy 5: Advance
Final Fantasy 2
Final Fantasy 12: Revenant Wings
Crisis Core
FFTA2
FFT: The Lions War (there is no way this is chittyshittybangbang)
Final Fantasy 4: DS
Dissidia: Final Fantasy
and we still have a couple more Chocobo dungeons, XIII, VS XIII, and Agito XIII to come before Fable 3 is released. Then again they could take a dump in a box, slap the Final Fantasy label on it, charge $60, and still get 10/10/10 from Famitsu. _________________ "True to the bullet pith on the enclose, Rocksmith allows you to beat the drum for legitimate hither any electric guitar into the proprietary USB chain that comes with the encounter..." - NEERGENCE, 12/02/2011 |
