Duckroll and neo2046 of GAF have brought us an image and some details of a possible new Valkyrie Profile title on PS2. From observation, one can see that the art style and the valkyrie's armor look similar to things from the first title. The subtitle title seems to be "Shirumeria," which would be said in English as "Silmeria." The girl on the left is named Alyssa, and according to Duckroll's translation, she is the the Queen of Diban.

This is not yet confirmed, but it would line up perfectly with the news of a new tri-Ace RPG being unveiled at January's Jump Festa. We'll keep you posted.

I downloaded the ISO of the first one and didn't really like it. Granted I didn't play super far into it. Actually I got stuck in the first dungeon (shuddup...). I hear good things from nearly everyone who's tried it, maybe it's just one of those cult things that I'm not meant to be apart of...

I thought the first was a beautiful game, but very simple. Too simple. Event he Story was really quite basic. The setting was fantastic though. I think this game could be amazing. Key word being "could".

Someone tell my why I should try to play the first game again... I heard there's a limited number of enemies you can fight so it's hard to level up. Why would I want to play an RPG without compulsive level raising? Help me out.

I have the original first one to this game...haven't beat it yet, but the game was fun. The story concept and fighting is original in itself. If they remake it this will be awesome.

lenneth is a port of the original, for all those who missed it. (that's assuming you have a PSP, which is a far-fetched assumption) Wink

And is it indeed a chance for everyone who didn't buy it the first time around to repent! Now more than 60,000 NA gamers can enjoy the game.

indeed, it looks fantastic. It looks like it'll have no problems translating into 3D. However the battle appears to be identical. Sad I hope it's at least a tad deeper on the combat side in this game.
