It was pretty much given that there'd be an Etrian Odyssey sequel considering the password feature of the first game...wonder what they'd call the sequel in the States since it would probably take place in another town other than Etria... _________________ LiveJournal

Heck yes. Yggdra Union is made of win, and it could stand for a bit of an update. And while I haven't played EO yet, it looks like the sequel captures the spirit of the original. Definitely looks like if one enjoyed the first, they would enjoy the second also, assuming they didn't get sick of it. |

Yeah, my advice is wait for number 2 if you didn't play the first (but go buy a copy of the first one anyways, pussyfart!) since it sounds like they're adding a lot of minor yet fundamental stuff that needed to be in the first, like quick saving and stat change viewing while shopping.
I repeat, every single person from this shity forum or that works at this shity website needs to own a copy of Etrian Odyssey. I'm not even kidding. _________________

I bought it. But I'm still tired of it. I probably won't go back to it anytime soon, or ever.
But I'm glad I contributed to someone else getting a sequel to a game they like. _________________

Quick Saving in Etrian Odyssey? Boo. BOO, I say. Boo! There's town, and Warp Crystals - where else do you need to save? Right before a boss battle? Forget that, you pansies. Shoulda thought AHEAD. :/ |

Unless of course quick saving is simply a game suspension, then it just helps save your DS's battery. _________________

That'll be cool. I could live with that.
It better not be SaGa-esque quick saving though - it'll shatter the difficulty of normal dungeon crawling. |

Didn't see it coming myself, but then again, I haven't beaten EO yet. The very fact that I wasn't expecting EO2 makes me more excited about it though.
Anyone else have this problem when you really like a game, you tackle it extremely slow? I have this problem with EO and Oblivion. |

No I tackle it as if it was the only game ever made. Then if I go for like 4 days with out playing it... it ends up just collecting dust.
Kind of sucks when that happens.
My save got erased on EO. I might start it up again before EO2 comes out.
Anyone have an idea when it is supposed to come out? _________________

Scans indicate that development is about 70% complete, and that a release date should be announced soon. Nothing solid yet. |

I never thought of it that way, but it's totally true for me too. This is why it took me four years to beat Morrowind and why It'll probably be 2-3 more before I beat Oblivion. I also did the same thing with EO, and now I'm doing it with M&B, though there's no ending there, so I won't feel bad when I eventually get tired of it and stop. _________________
