I need a new anime where there's like a group of people off to look for something. One of those good journey animes like Slayers, Wolf's Rain. I've got the itch you see.

And since I see a mess of people on the boards at this time I thought I'd ask.

Is that what Record of Lodoss War is all about?

I haven't really watched enough of it to know, but isn't Full Metal Alchemist kind of like that?

I'd recommend something to you but I'm not really into your genre... I'm a big fan of straight up comedy. My favourite shows are Great Teacher Onizuka, Azumanga Daioh, School Rumble, FMP! Fumoffu, etc... I'll second (or third maybe?) Fullmetal Alchemist. That's a crazy awesome show. I can't count the amount of times that one's made me laugh and/or cry, usually both in the same episode.

Yeah, I'm not really looking for straight comedy necessarily, I'd know where to head in that direction. Full Metal Alchemist is probably a pretty good idea, though....

Maybe I'll go through my backlog, I think there is a pretty good one around actually.

Full Metal Alchemist is a great show.

Monster(though this isn't up everyone's alley) has the potential to become my favorite anime series of all time. The only thing that would prevent that is if the ending really blows(as is common amongst animes). Worth checking out, but bear in mind it doesn't start REALLY getting good until around episode 6 i think. They have to set up this massive(and damn is it massive) storyline.

I do believe I've heard stuff on that. I guess maybe an older series like Record would work guys because I'd have it. The problem with giving me new series is you're asking me to work Sad

Check that out. It has a basic summary. It's only a summary for the first 5-10 episodes though. It changes dramatically after that.

Full Metal Alchemist. No doubt about it. It's one of my top 5 anime.

You people and your Full Metal Alchemist!

I'd have to buy the DVDs, and that's too much for me right now. And no I won't download it, whoever would suggest that. I must have DVD.

Isn't there ANYTHING else?

What about Netflix? If you're just looking to pirate a show just go to animesuki.com and look for a random show to watch. The forum there should be helpful in assisting you with picking out a random crappy show to watch...

I have fury!

Ok I'll list some other shows I've liked.

Trigun, Lodoss, Cowboy Bebop, Robotech (Macross), Hellsing, Escaflowne.

All seen and own.

I do have Netflix, but I'd still appreciate other suggestions.

And LiQuid...I said I didn't want to download it so why the obvious stuff about downloading (that wasn't very helpful)?

I know I'm digging up old threads, but have you tried Scrapped Princess? It's been out for a while, but it totally falls right in the "adventure" theme like Full Metal Alchemist.

(BTW Full Metal Panic is another good one to watch if you haven't.)

Scrapped Princess is awesome. I love that show.

FMP on the other hand. I don't know. I liked the original series, but HATED fomofu. I watched the first episode of the newer one, and it was pretty good. It's basically just your typical mech anime with fantastic animation. Fomofu was a spinoff with little to no action/story.

Worth checking out, at least.

Scrapped Princess is one of my modern favorites, though.
