www.politicalcompass.org

Sure some of there questions are worded to be a little one-sided but:

Where do you fall?

I'm at 5.5, -1.64.

I'm economically open-market capitalist and socially libertarian it would appear.

-2.13, -1.33

I'm not surprised I came out so close to the center.

If I recall this thing correctly, watch out. It outputs your results in the sentence backwards.

Economic Left/Right: -3.75
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.69

Not sure what that means, but I'm a little right of Ghandi I guess.

Apologies on my last post. I mistook this quiz for a similar one. Wonder where that one went?

Some of these statements are kind of badly worded or just have insufficient ways to answer. "When you are troubled, it's better not to think about it, but to keep busy with more cheerful things." Doesn't it depend on the situation? "A freer market means a freer people." Freer in what sense?

My results:

Economic Left/Right: -3.75
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -1.59

Also: http://www.rinkworks.com/poll/results.cgi?q=428

Also: Yeesh, no wonder I'm not a Stephen Harper fan, aside from his irritating policies. He's pretty close to my direct opposite.

Economic Left/Right: -5.25
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -1.28

But half the questions either didn't make sense, or confused my poor tired head. Maybe I should have taken it in the morning instead.

Oh, and yipee... I'm halfway to communism.

I knew it was all a plot.

Uhh...can't you read? Look at the forum title.

And I would say that calling me a communist or socialist would actually be quite unfair because I really don't feel I am. I'm not sure how it saw fit to put me at -3.75, but I like my socialism quite on the light side, thanks.

Edit: In light of this new information I have updated my avatar accordingly.

I really wish there was a "neutral" on some of those.
Also, I can't help but wonder if the people who made it had different definitions or interpritations of certain terms than I have, because a lot of those questions I could answer two completely different ways.

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -4.50
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.26

Not surprising. I'm pretty anti-government and anti corporation. Crooked politics and hyperconsumerism represent a lot of what's wrong with the country.

Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 2.05

I'm thinking I screwed up somehow...some of those questions were really confusing. While this isn't exactly gauging simply on a left/right scale, I'm generally right wing. Smile
