Nah, i only played half of Aria, and i'm loving this one. The plot twist in Aria is sweet, though. I'm not even a castlevania fan really, but this one is particularly good. |

If it weren't for the intrusion of tacked-on DS features it might be my favourite in the series. As it stands it doesn't hold a candle to Castlevania III. _________________

I'm not even going to justify that nonsense with a snarky rebuttal or pained exclamation. _________________

you liked Alucard in 3? You're out of it. Grant and Trevor are much better selections. Alucard is slow and bulky. Sure he can shoot fire but for most levels he just sucks horribly.
SoTN Alucard is where it's at. Hey Sistance, where are you man? Set this foo' straight. _________________

That's my point exactly, you couldn't even tell he was a guy in SotN... I didn't find out until Succubus was all like "That beauty, you must be the son of Dracula." I'm all like "WTF Son?!" I thought he was a hot chick with a really deep voice... _________________

I found my old copy of Final Fantasy Tactics for the PSOne. I can suddenly remember why I stopped playing it. I tried playing it for a while, but couldn't remember anything I had done previously.
Tell me, all you FFTA saavy people out there. Is Tactics Advanced better?
PM me with the details! _________________ Wise men speak because they have something to say.

No in most regards, yes in others. FFT has an infinately superior setting/story, and is far deeper as far as classes go.
FFTA has more content in terms of individual missions. There are 300 normal missions that are counted, and a vast amount of missions not included in the 300.
It's hard for me to say, really. On one hand i know FFT is the better game, but on the other i had more fun with FFTA.
Also, FFTA is more friendly as well. I know some who thought FFT to be too difficult played and loved FFTA. It's no where near as challenging, but only loses a touch of depth as a result.
FFT is a masterpeice, but its more for the hardcore SRPG market. FFTA can be played (and potentially loved) by people of all ages, and fans of all genres. You don't have to like SRPGs to like FFTA, but you do have to like SRPGs to like FFT. I think that's the best way i could describe it. |

Alright, I'll try FFTA. I enjoy FFT, but I stopped playing it for awhile, and am now completely lost. I think that I'd enjoy FFTA, and will look into it. (Gotta find my GBA! How do you lose one? Ravenous brothers... that's how!) _________________ Wise men speak because they have something to say.

Yeah, give it a whirl, but don't expect it to be a revitalization of Final Fantasy Tactics you knew on PS. It's of course very similar at the core, but there are huge differences as well.
Anyway, I'm still *ahem* devouring Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga. After that, I'll get to this copy of Wild Arms Alter Code F that Agetec sent for review... _________________ If you buy stuff from Play Asia, help support RPG Land. Thank you. |

oh hey Aubstar when you get a chance tho you should really try to go back and finish FFT. It gets better and better towards the ending. |
